Embrace big city beats, Nashville grooves, and the traditional twang of the Appalachian Mountains. As always, centrally located hostels in the cities and campsites in the wilderness keep you in the heart of the action. Skip flying and discover country roots and the earthly delights that come with staying grounded.

Day 1 New Orleans
Arrive at any time.
Day 2 Memphis (1B,1L)
Opt to relive history at the National Civil Rights Museum, located where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated, tour the Rock & Soul Museum or Elvis' Graceland, and opt to see a live show on Beale Street at night.
Day 3 Memphis/Nashville (1B,1L,1D)
Free morning to further explore Memphis. By night, opt to be surrounded in country music at one of Nashville's local hangouts.
Day 4 Appalachia (1B,1L,1D)
Travel the beautiful winding roads through the Appalachian Mountains. Trek along a trail in the park.
Day 5-6 Shenandoah National Park/Washington DC (2B,1L,1D)
Pass through Shenandoah en route to DC. Visit Arlington Cemetery, and enjoy an orientation walk of Washington DC. Visit the National Mall—home to 15 free museums including the Air and Space Museum.
Day 7 New York City (1B,1L)
Dive into the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple. Opt to visit Times Square, stroll Central Park or check out Greenwich Village. Experience the famous nightlife of New York.
Day 8 New York City
Depart at any time.
This adventure boasts vans fitted with wi-fi for up to five users at a time. Check your email, upload a photo to Facebook, or send a tweet to your friends.
